Angama Amboseli

Angama Amboseli is a luxury safari lodge offering an intimate, exclusive and immersive wilderness experience. The lodge comprises just 10 beautifully designed tented guest suites, ensuring privacy and tranquillity — with a maximum capacity of 20 guests.

The design of the lodge reflects a deep interplay with the natural surroundings: suites are constructed using a mix of canvas, concrete and stone, accented by rattan and grass in earthy neutral tones. Floor-to-ceiling screened doors lead onto private decks from which guests enjoy uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro — even from their beds, showers or decks.

Accommodation is both elegant and immersive: suites come with en-suite bathrooms, private decks, shaded lounge areas, and comforts like a mini-bar, mosquito nets, complimentary WiFi, and verandas. Outdoors, the lodge sits amidst fever-tree forest, where elephants roam freely through the sanctuary — offering a rare, crowd-free wildlife experience.

Guests can enjoy a range of experiences: guided game drives, walking safaris in the sanctuary, hot-air balloon safaris, bird watching, photography, and cultural visits to nearby Maasai communities. On-site amenities include a pool, safari shop and photographic studio, art gallery, games room, and spaces for dining around a fire-pit or under the stars.

How to Get There:

Angama Amboseli is located in the private Kimana Sanctuary, Kajiado County, Kenya — a community-owned wildlife conservancy that serves as a key wildlife corridor between Amboseli National Park and Tsavo / Chyulu Hills. The sanctuary lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering sweeping views of the mountain from the lodge

Guests typically reach the lodge by road (approx. 3.5–4 hours drive from Nairobi via the Emali-Loitoktok road) or by air via the nearby Kimana Airfield — transfers from the airfield are included in the accommodation rate.
